This business days calculator counts the number of working days between two dates and automatically leaves out weekends and Finnish public holidays. It is handy for scheduling projects, planning leave and estimating delivery times.

How the calculator works and what it’s for▾

How working days are counted

The calculator runs through the period from the start date to the end date and counts only weekdays from Monday to Friday. Saturdays and Sundays are excluded, as are public holidays that fall on weekdays.

Public holidays such as New Year's Day, Midsummer or Independence Day are recognised automatically. This means the result reflects actual working time rather than the raw number of calendar days.

What you enter and what you get

Enter two dates: the start and end of the period. The calculator returns the number of working days between them.

The result shows directly how many real working days fit into the interval, which is often far fewer than the total number of calendar days.
