ℹ️ Rates are ECB (European Central Bank) daily reference rates. They do not include bank margins. Use bank or exchange rates for actual transactions.

The currency converter changes an amount from one currency into another, for example from euros to dollars or kronor. It's useful for travellers, online shopping and anyone who needs to know what a foreign price is in their own money.

How the calculator works and what it’s for

How the conversion works

The conversion is based on the exchange rate between two currencies. Enter an amount, pick the source and target currency, and the converter multiplies by the rate to show the equivalent value.

For instance, the value of 100 euros in dollars depends on how many dollars one euro is worth at that moment.

What you enter and get

You enter the amount to convert and choose a currency pair from more than twenty options, including EUR, USD and SEK. The result is the amount in your target currency, shown clearly.

When it comes in handy

The converter is great for budgeting a holiday, comparing prices in foreign online stores and getting a feel for a salary or invoice in another currency. It makes prices in unfamiliar money instantly understandable.

Good to know about rates

Exchange rates change constantly with the market, so it's worth checking the conversion close to the moment you pay. Banks and payment services often add their own margin, so the rate you actually get can differ slightly from the market rate.
