Which expenses should I include?

Yearly payments such as insurance premiums can be divided by twelve to turn them into monthly expenses.

How much should expenses be relative to income?

The common 50/30/20 rule of thumb suggests that essential expenses should take about 50 percent of net income, wants about 30 percent, and 20 percent should go to savings. What is an expense calculator used for?
