The pizza calculator works out how many pizzas to order for a group by taking into account the number of people, how hungry they are and the size of the pizza. That way you order just the right amount — no hungry guests and no wasted leftovers.

How the pizza count is worked out
The core of the calculation is how many slices one person eats and how many slices your chosen pizza size yields. Multiply the number of people by their appetite and divide by the slices per pizza to get the number of pizzas needed.
The result is rounded up to whole pizzas, since you rarely order pizza by the half.
What you enter and what you get
You give the number of guests, estimate their appetite and choose the pizza size. The calculator returns the recommended number of pizzas for the group.
A larger pizza yields more slices, so the size you pick affects the result as much as the number of eaters.
