The exponent calculator raises a base number to the power you choose and also shows its square and cube. It works for students and anyone who needs a quick power calculation.
How the calculator works and what it’s for▾
How a power is calculated
A power means multiplying the base by itself as many times as the exponent indicates. For instance, 2¹⁰ multiplies ten twos together, giving 1024.
The square is a number raised to the second power (x²) and the cube to the third power (x³). The calculator shows both with no extra steps.
What you enter and what you get
Enter a base and an exponent. You get the actual power plus the square and cube of the same base.
With a single input you receive three results, which speeds up tasks like checking areas and volumes.
Where exponents are used
Powers appear in math and physics problems, compound interest calculations, geometry and computing, where powers of two come up often.
The calculator is also useful for checking homework and confirming mental math.
Tips and common mistakes
Remember that any number raised to zero is one, and a negative exponent means the reciprocal. Don't confuse the exponent with the base.
With large exponents the result grows fast, so double-check your inputs before trusting the figure.
