TikTok Money Calculator

Estimate how much a TikTok video earns in the Creator Rewards Program and what you can charge for a sponsored video. The calculator accounts for the program’s one-minute minimum — videos under a minute earn no per-view payouts at all — and estimates brand deal rates from your follower count and engagement rate.

Video length

TikTok only pays for qualified views (≥ 5 s, For You feed). US audiences earn ~$0.50–$1.00; most other countries less.

How TikTok creators actually get paid

TikTok income comes from four main sources: Creator Rewards per-view payouts, brand deals, LIVE gifts and TikTok Shop commissions. Creator Rewards only pays for videos longer than one minute — typically $0.20–$1.00 per 1,000 qualified views, where qualified means at least five seconds of watch time in the For You feed. A million views therefore lands in the $200–$1,000 range: clearly less than long-form YouTube, but roughly 10–20× more than the old Creator Fund paid.

For most creators, brand deals are the bigger income source. Sponsorship rates scale with follower count and above all with engagement rate — advertisers pay for an active audience, not a raw follower number. Compare with our YouTube money calculator: the same content can earn very differently depending on the platform.

Length matters on TikTok too — the 1-minute rule

Just as YouTube has its 8-minute mid-roll threshold, TikTok has a one-minute threshold that splits videos into two classes: under a minute earns nothing from Creator Rewards, over a minute earns on every qualified view. This has reshaped content strategy across the platform — short hook videos drive growth and reach, while the actual earnings come from longer content and the brand deals it attracts. Try both length settings in the calculator to see the difference with your own numbers.
