How the calculator works and what it’s for▾

How the bill is split

Each person's share is calculated as (bill + tip) / people. The tip percentage is first added to the total, after which the sum is divided evenly among everyone.

For example, an €80 bill for four people is €20 each. Add a 10% tip and the total becomes €88, or €22 per person.

What you enter and what you get

You enter the total bill in euros, the number of people and, if you wish, the tip as a percentage. The tip is optional, so you can leave it at zero.

The result shows the total with tip, each person's share and the tip amount separately in euros. That way everyone knows exactly what they pay.

When to use it
