This parking cost calculator shows in seconds how much parking will cost once you know the duration and the hourly rate. It also tells you whether you are better off paying by the hour or hitting the daily cap, so you avoid surprise charges in garages and at street meters.

How the calculator works and what it’s for

How the cost is worked out

The base price is the parking duration multiplied by the hourly rate. Park for 4 hours at €3/h, for example, and the hourly cost comes to €12.

The calculator then compares that figure with the daily maximum you enter and shows the smaller of the two as the final cost. That way a long stay never costs more than the daily cap.

What you enter and what you get

You provide three values: the parking duration in hours, the hourly rate in euros and the daily maximum. In return you see two results: the cost by hourly rate and the final cost with the cap applied.

Set the daily maximum to 0 and the price is based on the hourly rate alone, with no upper limit.

When it comes in handy

Use it to compare garages before a trip, to estimate parking costs for a workday or an airport stay, and to decide whether an hourly or daily tariff suits you better.

It is also useful when weighing a closer, pricier spot against a cheaper one further away.

Tips for a reliable estimate

Check the real hourly rate and daily maximum on the signage or app, as prices vary by location and time of day.

Round the duration up to whole hours if the operator charges for each hour started, so your estimate is not lower than reality.
